Ok, so throughout my “Thoughts”, you will see my personal book rating system referenced regularly. It dawned on me that I should maybe explain how I rate my reads. So here you go:
1 Star- you wrote a whole book. Congrats.
2 Stars - your book got published and is actually available to the public. Wow.
3 Stars - I made it to the end of your book and found some enjoyment out of it. Hey now, we are getting somewhere!
4 Stars I actually enjoyed this book and: (choose two*)
I would probably recommend it to some specific friends;
I respected the writing and talent or creativity; and
The characters were especially relatable/hate-able or some other emotion inducing feeling was derived from reading this book you wrote, which got published, that I made it the whole way through. *Two of the above must be applicable to achieve a rating of 4 stars, if I can only choose one, then I lean towards the old 3.5 Stars….
5 Stars- All 3 of the options from 4 Stars (see above) and I will continue to think about this book and remember it for more than a week or two. Truly Stellar.
